On April 20, 2007 Building James gave the OK for archive.org:
"Building James Would Like To Start A Colection On The Archive.
BUILDING JAMES not only supports tape trading, but we also are active participants. Should a cosmic anomaly occur, and this anomaly be of a proportion significant enough to cause a person to be compelled to download OUR MUSIC, we will not interfere. We only request that it not be duplicated for personal gain, or used for trade in any form (including bartering for furs, whiskey or women in the wild west). We also request that whomsoever downloads the music send us a letter of thanks written on the back side of a $5.00 dollar bill. In lieu of the letter, the person on the receiving end of the kick-ass powerhouse of sound that IS Building James, can simply tell 5 friends how cool we are and PROMISE to come see our shows when we perform in their neck of the woods. And in deference to our country's prudent legal system, it should also be known that ALL COPYRIGHTS FOR BUILDING JAMES' MUSIC IS SOLELY HELD BY BUILDING JAMES. ANY INFRINGEMENT ON THIS WILL BE CONSIDERED DOWNRIGHT RUDE, AND DEALT WITH ACCORDINGLY. "
